Customizing Your Settings

You can use your account settings page to save your preferences to be used throughout the Yodel application. Make your selection and tap the "update settings" button.

Date & Time

Select your desired timezone so that dates and times display to your local time.

NOTE: Yodel is currently in limited beta, so U.S. based timezones are the only ones available at this time. We will be working to expand our services.

Choose from several different date formats. This will control how dates are displayed while using Yodel services or receiving notifications or communication from us.

Set your preferred time format, which will also be used by Yodel for page display, notifications, and other communications.

Units of Measure

Select your preferred unit of measure. This affects the display of sending areas and receiving areas where you can view their sizes as square miles, square kilometers, or acres.

Receiving Message Settings

Yodel allows you to view messages that are aimed at your receiving addresses, areas, and routes. When a message is sent out for one of your locations, we'll follow the notification preferences you have set. But you can also view any related messages online at any time, even historic messages for recently added locations.

Your received messages page attempts to keep the list of messages clean and easy to review. That effort includes some settings that automatically help keep your inbox tidy.

You can select a timeframe in which to automatically mark messages as read. This can be nice so that only recent messages appear unread when you view the page and have a long history of messages.

Archiving messages can be done on demand, but it can also be done automatically. You can set a timeframe for when Yodel should archive older messages for you, keeping your active messages area manageable.

Display Options

The screen brightness setting is how you can control the theme in which Yodel displays pages. You can force dark mode or light mode, or choose high-contrast modes. By default, we'll match your browser settings.

Your Alternate Receiving Address

You can also enter a preferred alternate mailing address for any postal mail (typically postcards) that are sent to you through Yodel's services.

A common example of when this can be useful is if you would like your mailed notifications to go to a P.O. Box. A post office box is not a standard street address and cannot be added to the receiving addresses list for your account. But here it can be set as your preferred mailing address for all receiving locations you have set up.
