I Received a Message I Don't Like
If you don't like the content or topic of a message sent to you through Yodel, you have several options to take control of your mailbox or inbox.
Alert Yodel About Inappropriate Topics
Yodel has a list of content guidelines for senders and they have to agree to our terms of use as well. Each message sent through Yodel goes through a review and approval process to try and prevent inappropriate content from going through our system.
Examples of unacceptable messages:
Illegal or unlawful content
Misleading or false information
Information deemed a privacy risk or that contains personally identifiable information about anyone other than the sender
Sexual, offensive, or inappropriate content
Inappropriate drug, smoking, or alcohol references
Exclusionary offers demonstrating unfair bias
Scams or fraudulent information
If something is missed, we want to know about it. We can then take corrective action against the sender, if required. We can also audit our own review process to see why the message wasn't stopped before going out. These steps are how we can keep the services Yodel provides in good working order and remain beneficial to both senders and receivers.
If you've spotted a violation, please let the Yodel help and support team know about it!
Responding to the Sender
You can also reply or react to the sender anonymously and let them know about your concern. This can help them as well and allow them to review their content and consider improvements for future messages.
Blocking the Sender
If you do not like this sender, you also have the option to block them. This will prevent all future messages they send out from reaching you.
Report Bad Conduct
If you have reviewed the above suggestions and still wish to escalate further, please contact our support team using our contact form.
